I wanted to portray my nightmare of not fulfilling my dreams.

Taking inspiration from René Magritte’s paintings and the saying “Another brick in the wall”. I’ve had multiple nightmares about not being able to be original. The film portrays the life of someone who didn’t stand out. He is born, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and he lives a life just like everyone who came before him. In the beginning there’s progress, but when he gets older he can’t do anything but stand there, and accept the fact he’s another brick in the wall. From this point on he stands still until he dies, fading into a roman bust like Magritte uses to portray death.
